1. Who we are
LFC San Francisco (LFCSF), the Official Liverpool FC Supporters Club of San Francisco, operates this website and its membership service. This policy explains how we handle personal information in connection with those services. Contact us at liverpoolsanfrancisco@gmail.com with privacy questions.
2. Information we collect
We collect the information you provide when joining, managing your membership, or contacting us: your name, email address, shipping address, optional phone number, and any Liverpool FC membership details you choose to provide. We also keep your club membership number, season, membership status, and payment and subscription references. Our hosting, authentication, and payment providers may process technical information such as IP addresses, browser information, cookies, and security logs to operate and protect the service.
3. Google sign-in and account information
If you choose Google sign-in, our authentication provider, Clerk, receives basic identity information, such as your name, email address, profile image, and a Google account identifier, to create or authenticate your account. Google sign-in is used for authentication, not to access your Gmail messages, Google Drive files, or contacts. Google and Clerk also handle information under their own privacy policies.
4. How we use information
We use information to create and secure accounts, connect existing memberships to accounts, process membership payments and renewals, maintain member records, deliver membership items and benefits, respond to questions, and send account and membership communications. We also use it to investigate errors, prevent misuse, and meet applicable legal and accounting obligations.
5. Payments and service providers
Stripe processes payments and manages billing. Payment card details are submitted to Stripe; our membership database does not store full card numbers or card security codes. We use Replit for hosting and infrastructure, Clerk for authentication, and email delivery providers such as Resend for service messages. These providers receive information needed for their services. Authorized club administrators may access member information to administer membership. If you request a benefit that requires sharing details with a venue, fulfillment provider, or Liverpool FC, we use the information needed to arrange that benefit. We may also disclose information when required by law or necessary to protect rights and security.
6. Cookies, browser storage, and external services
The site and its providers use cookies or similar storage for sign-in, security, payment processing, and remembering progress through signup. Blocking these may prevent features from working. Links to social networks, venues, and other websites take you to services governed by their own privacy policies.
7. Website analytics
When enabled, we use Replit-hosted analytics to understand website visits and membership interactions, such as starting signup, reaching checkout, completing payment or a profile, renewing membership, and opening billing management. Custom events use limited categories such as membership season and the step where an error occurred. We do not include names, email addresses, shipping details, member numbers, or payment credentials in custom event data. These measurements help us improve the website and are not a replacement for payment records.
8. Retention and security
We retain information as needed to administer memberships, support account access, resolve disputes, and satisfy legal and accounting requirements. Some transaction records may need to be retained after an account is closed. We use access controls and service-provider security features to protect information, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security. Providers may process information in the United States or other countries where they operate.
9. Your choices and privacy requests
You can update membership details in My Account. To request access, correction, or deletion of your information, or ask about other rights available under applicable law, email liverpoolsanfrancisco@gmail.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting, and legal retention requirements may limit deletion. Contact us to stop optional club emails; essential account, security, and billing messages may still be sent. Deleting an account and canceling a paid subscription are separate actions: cancel renewal through My Account or ask us for help before requesting deletion.
10. Children
This online account and payment service is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information through the site, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our practices or services change. The date above identifies the latest revision. We will provide additional notice of material changes when required by law.
